The Fire Conference 2023 is scheduled for Jan 30th – Feb 3rd, 2023 at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Side Convention Center with over 1000’s Firefighters occupying Pensacola Beach.
The Fire Conference combines many of CFT’s past programs (ODP, CFT Fire School, WOFC & HROC) all into one five day training event. Lecture sessions and Hands-on Training will occur throughout the week.

The classroom sessions for ODP will take place daily from 8am–5pm. ODP will elevate your understanding of Fireground Size-Up, and Assigning/Deploying the proper Fireground Tactics, based on staffing and available resources. CFT will also cover Time Delayed Tactics that can aid fire departments that operate with limited staffing and resources. The officer development track will also feature a Train-The-Trainer for Firefighter Rescue Survey.
County Fire Tactics Officer Development Program presents a curriculum that is in a class by itself, a once in a lifetime opportunity. ODP’s academic approach dives into the world of Strategy, Tactics, and Leadership for use in the fire station and the fire ground.
We request all attendees wear Fire Department Uniform/Button Up Shirts on the first day. The rest of the week will be business casual with a minimum of a collared shirt. All attendees will be issued an official name tag to be worn during class each day for accountability purposes.
This is a 40 hour Officer Development Class and not a seminar/conference. This is not your stay out late and sleep in class. All attendees will be required to attend 100% to receive credit and get the CFT ODP certificate.

This Track will consist of tactics created and used by the FDNY, largest fire department in the country. Join with Lt. Mike Ciampo, Lt. Ray McCormack and more FDNY members as well as other instructors to learn and refine your High Rise Operations. Class segments include preforming a 14 story exterior hose stretch, using the floor below nozzle, stretching and flowing 2 1/2″ hoselines, battling building facade fires, constructing and deploying NY standpipe packs.
You will be introduced to state of the art tools such as newly designed hoselines, nozzle tips, pressure gauges, window curtains and more. Learn the stretching concerns of using different stairways on attack and evacuation decisions. Both search and forcible entry will be covered to complete the attack training package.

This track will combine the previous vision of the CFT Fire School with both classroom and hands on training (HOT) sessions. Firefighters, Fire Officers, and Fire Chiefs will learn lessons focusing on company level tactics required for coordinated fire attack. Topics covered will include Stretching Hose Lines; Forcing Doors; Attacking the Fire; Searching for Life and Fire, Horizontal and Vertical Ventilation. HOT Sessions will include targeted searches for VES via ground ladders, and the use of power saws for forcible entry and ventilation. HOT Sessions Include: Engine Operations: Stretching & Flowing, Water Supply, Standpipe Operations, Forcible Entry, Search, RIT & Survival, Ventilation & Saw Operations, Ground LaddersTHREE DAYS CLASSROOM, TWO DAYS HOT SESSIONS. FULL BUNKER REQUIRED FOR ATTENDEES IN THIS PROGRAM
CFT HROC & WOFC
- This track will combine the previous vision of CFT’s WOFC and HROC Conferences in a smaller format with both classroom and hands on training (HOT) sessions. Firefighters, Fire Officers, and Fire Chiefs will receive the latest tactics, trends, and lessons for water delivery and fire suppression in buildings without standpipe systems and buildings requiring the use of standpipe systems for firefighting operations.
