Escambia County Fire Rescue is Hiring 24 Additional Firefighters this October to staff two additional Firehouses. Escambia County has hired over  50 Additional Firefighters in the last two years, to staff three additional stations and now hiring an additional 24 to staff two more stations. ECFR is a 20+ station fire department in Northwest Florida and provides protection to Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key. Escambia County is a very diverse county having High Rises on the Gulf and Farmland in the northern end of the county. With 664 square miles and over 300,000 people top protect, ECFR stays very busy with FIRES daily and frequently responds to Special Operations Calls.  Florida Certification Required. Base pay after overtime adjustment for the 56 hour work week/24-48 schedule is around/estimate $31,500+. EMT and Paramedic pay up to an additional $6,000 a year.
