Battalion Chief Boot Camp is an intensive, five-day cohort program designed for Chief Fire Officer development, Battalion Chief training, and District Chief leadership advancement. Led by Chief Isakson and guest Chief Officers, this program delivers cutting-edge command-level education for current and aspiring Battalion Chiefs, District Chiefs, and Chief Fire Officers.

This unique 50-hour Chief Fire Officer and Battalion Chief Leadership & Tactics Training event will be held November 9–13, 2026, at the Hilton 

Pensacola Beach in Pensacola Beach, Florida. This program is ideal for Battalion Chiefs, District Chiefs, and those focused on Chief Fire Officer development.

BCBC November ’26 offers advanced leadership development for experienced Command Officers, Battalion Chiefs, District Chiefs, and those pursuing higher Chief Fire Officer roles. Attendees are equipped with practical skills, strategies, and insights to excel at the command level and in chief officer development. Check-in starts Sunday at 3:00 PM.

This seventy-attendee cohort program maximizes every moment from Sunday evening through Saturday morning. Engage in 100% ALL IN classroom participation, gain actionable leadership strategies.

Curt “Ike” Isakson is a 30+ year veteran of the fire service, professional speaker, motivator, educator, and consultant with experience working in volunteer, career, and combination departments in urban, suburban, rural, and countywide settings.
 
He is currently the Deputy Chief of Operations for Bay County Emergency Services. Previously, he served for over 20 years with Escambia County Fire Rescue as a line Battalion Chief. Before that, Curt served as a Company Officer with the Pensacola Fire Department, assigned to Heavy Rescue 31, for 9 years.
