Firehouse Magazine has confirmed that FIREHOUSE Expo is “Game On!” for next month, September 14-18, 2021, in Columbus Ohio.

This conference will feature a presentation by Chief Isakson on Friday September 17th, during the (3) days of conference sessions, (2) days of hands on training, and (2) days of pre-conference workshops.

Fireground commanders should have a strong understanding of fire tactics and the necessary strategic goals for each incident. The strategy chosen must be backed up by tactical abilities within the assigned resources. This program will cover tactical command and strategic command and when to use the appropriate command mode based on arrival sequence and overall staffing for each specific incident. This program will compare the stereotypical West Coast command mode with the East Coast command mode and explain why we need both.

Presenter Spotlight

Curt “Ike” Isakson is a 30+ year veteran of the fire service, with experience working in volunteer, career, and combination departments in urban, suburban, rural, and countywide settings.

He is currently a Battalion Chief for Escambia County Fire Rescue in Pensacola Florida where he has worked for the last 21 years.
