When they say “anti-theft,” believe it.
Seattle firefighters rescued a woman early Monday morning after she became trapped inside a Georgetown clothing-donation box.
A 26-year-old woman had crawled inside the 4-foot by 6-foot clothing-donation box at the corner of Fourth Avenue South and South Mead Street to take clothes, according to statement from the Seattle Fire Department. When she was crawling out, her leg became stuck in the anti-theft mechanism.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 4:34 a.m. The Technical Rescue Team used heavy tools to pry open the box and free the woman, the statement said. She declined medical treatment.
