Worker Rescued from Water Tower

Virginia Beach, Va. – On Monday, technical rescue crews responded to calls about a worker who they say was hanging from a water tower about 100-120 feet in the air.

Calls came in about the incident at 3 p.m. at 701 Chantry Drive.

A tile worker was working with a ladder and it slipped from under him. He was hanging on a safety rope at the time officials say.

There was a bucket truck under him, but it was about 12 feet away from the worker.

He was not injured crews tell NewsChannel 3.
