Pre-rigs are great idea but only as good as the firefighters operating them….It’s an issue of constant training for emergency scene proficiency not once or twice a year review. ANYTHING to take the thought out of a task is a winner in my book!

We have a few pre-rig setups at my station. They are good if the person using them knows how the rig is to be setup. At times the pre-rig can become a tangled mess if not stored correctly. I personally like to start fresh that way I know I tied the knot and the rig is done properly. Especially if I’m on the working end. But I guess it comes down to personal preference. Always remember to double check your rig before any stressors are placed on it. And always be safe.
