TRENTON — A woman who jumped from the “Trenton Makes” bridge in an apparent suicide attempt was pulled from the Delaware River by rescue crews unharmed Tuesday morning.
The woman, whose name and age were not immediately available, jumped from the bridge shortly after 7 a.m., Trenton Fire Chief Frank Seidel said.
Rescue crews dispatched a boat and found the woman in the river several hundred yards south of the bridge, near Arm & Hammer Park. She was pulled from the river and brought to emergency crews on the docks near the baseball park.
The woman told rescue crews that she intended to harm herself, Seidel said.
“Other than being wet, she’s physically fine,” Seidel said.
