MOBILE, AL (WPMI/CNN) – A dramatic video shows a man being rescued from some swift-moving floodwaters in Alabama.

Firefighters were called out to help the man after he got trapped on a flooded street.

One of the firefighters swam out to the man, handed him a floatation device and then swam back with him to safety.

The National Weather Service reports Mobile, AL received record rainfall Tuesday of more than 11 inches.
