Battalion Chief Boot Camp is a new Cohort Learning Program delivered solely by Chief Isakson over all FIVE DAYS from 8:00am–5:00pm. The ONE OF A KIND, 40-hour Battalion Chief Leadership & Tactics event will take place February 4th – 10th, 2024 in Pensacola Beach, Florida at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Pensacola Beach. BCBC February ’24 will enhance even the most experienced Command Officer. Check-in Starts Sunday February 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM.
This seventy attendee cohort learning concept is about MAXIMIZING every moment, Sunday Night through Saturday Morning. Be ready and willing for a 100% ALL IN, classroom participation learning experience, inclusive social learning experience, and opportunity for attendees to form a professional networking group to build your Chief Officer skills, and continuing to share experiences together.

Throughout the week Chief Isakson will share his successes and failures based on over 19 years of real world experiences as a line Battalion Chief in a Metro County responding to ALL FIRES on-duty, and sometime off-duty.

ATTENDEES WILL LEAVE WITH A BOOK OF NOTES FROM THEIR WEEK OF LEARNING
While Chief Isakson downloads his experiences and knowledge, students will be able to listen and focus on lectures instead of trying to take notes. Kyle Romagus will be writing notes on large white board at the front of the room. All attendees can take pictures of the whiteboard(s). Scott Slocum will transcribe the notes and attendees will leave at the end of the week with a typed digital copy.
This will be a very unique training opportunity. It will be HUGE for students that are not that great at taking notes, and operating in a county fire department that provides fire protection in a very diverse setting.

BCBC FEB 2024 ADDITIONAL PROGRAM DETAILS
Registration opened on June 10th, 2023, only a few spots remain after the initial exclusive rollout to those attendees who joined our pre-sale notification list to be notified first and privately via email when BCBC February ’24 originally went on sale.
You will only have a few hours to register with your exclusive private link. We will then make the link available publicly on County Fire Tactics.com to make sure everyone has a chance at the 70 spots. Pricing for this exclusive program starts at $890.00 and includes an organized class breakfast each morning on the second floor of the Fairfield Inn overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
The 70 attendees of our Battalion Chief Boot Camp Cohort will have a CFT Tumbler and shirt included. The CFT Tumbler provides free coffee for the week and free non alcoholic beverages at some establishments. All attendees will get wristband for discounts at most establishments on Pensacola Beach.
HROC is The Only Annual High Rise Operations Fire Conference. Firefighters, Fire Officers, and Fire Chiefs will receive the latest tactics, trends, and lessons learned for operating at fires in both high-rise and standpipe-equipped buildings through our lecture and hands-on training tracks.
The lecture events will take place Tuesday and Wednesday in-person at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Side Convention Center in the Royal Palm Ballroom. The H.O.T. Tracks and Workshops will take place Thursday at the Hilton and other nearby properties.
The speaker and instructor line up is filled with highly experienced and knowledgeable instructors from all across the country sharing national and regional methods.
They even bring their personal cadres from all over the country who love the job and share a passion for making our profession as safe as possible while being as aggressive as possible.
The training cadre’s at HROC have have years of credible, vetted, and trusted fire duty experience they will share with you over your three days and nights on Pensacola Beach.
This diverse group of fire service leaders will prepare you to accomplish fireground tactical priorities and deliver significant amounts of water on the fire in these challenging occupancies.
Nearly 50% of all high rises in existence today are not equipped with fire protection sprinklers systems and the other 50% experience documented incidents of suppression system failure, ineffectiveness, or both.

Curt “Ike” Isakson is a 30+ year veteran of the fire service, professional speaker, motivator, educator, and consultant with experience working in volunteer, career, and combination departments in urban, suburban, rural, and countywide settings.
He is currently a Battalion Chief for Escambia County Fire Rescue in Florida where he has worked for the last 21 years. Before his time with Escambia, Curt was a Company Officer with the Pensacola Fire Department assigned to Heavy Rescue 31 for 9 years.

FREE PNS AIRPORT SHUTTLE
County Fire Tactics sponsored airport shuttles will get attendees to and from the Pensacola Airport (PNS) on Sunday, and Saturday only.
- Sunday, 2/4/2024, arrivals before 5:00pm will locate a Dream Catcher Shuttle outside Baggage Claim 3 at Pensacola International Airport.
- Saturday, 2/10/2024, departures will locate a Dream Catcher Shuttle outside the Fairfield Inn & Suites Pensacola Beach lobby. Historically the shuttle will start between 3:30am and 4:00am for the earliest flights and end at 11:00am.
- Registration will open approximately one week before the start of CFT’s Battalion Chief Boot Camp February 2024, shuttle registration is required.
