Ice rescue in Harrisburg PA

Shortly after 2pm on 10MAR14 firefighters from the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire and the Rescue Fire Co of Susquehanna Township and the Harrisburg River Rescue responded to a person on the ice call on the Susquehanna River in Downtown Harrisburg.

They found a woman who was suffering from mental health issues approximately 150 feet from shore on rotten ice on the river.

Squad 8 and Rescue 37 personnel utilized Fortuna boat to execute a tethered rescue.
