LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Fire and Rescue freed a worker trapped in a trench under heavy equipment, according to the department.
The department says that shortly before noon a worker was in a trench at a construction site near Vegas Drive and Michael Way, when an underground device failed and hit the worker in the back. He could not get out of the trench.
The fire department says the worker is on the way to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified about the accident.
