Firefighters pulled an unresponsive man from a northside house after a home care worker arrived to find smoke inside.

Fire crews were called to the house fire near 80 Street and 129A Avenue around 1 p.m. on Friday.

They pulled a man from the residence. He was transported to hospital.

The fire appears to have originated in the kitchen.
