NDIANAPOLIS – A man rescued from a west side home on Tuesday was still listed in critical condition on Wednesday.

Wayne Township firefighters battled a home fire in the 100 block of Taft Avenue. They found the 56-year-old man inside. He was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital for burns and smoke inhalation.

On Wednesday, fire investigators say the fire was caused by careless smoking.
