Cover for Gallons Per Second

fireground demands water application that overwhelms modern fire conditions in seconds, not minutes. This class delivers a data-driven approach to flowing more water than BTUs produced—backed by UL research and decades of fireground experience. Learn how to size, staff, and stretch lines correctly while mastering the big three of fire streams: flow, reach, and nozzle reaction. The result? Faster knockdowns, quicker searches, and greater civilian survivability.
Cover for Commanding from the Sidelines

Sharp size-up and realistic command decisions. Commanding from the Sidelines focuses on using time-delayed tactics to maximize what first-arriving crews can achieve before all resources are in place. Learn to evaluate each company’s true capabilities—based on staffing, training, and experience—and assign them where they’ll have the greatest impact. By understanding your bench and applying disciplined size-up, you’ll optimize fireground performance and set the stage for a successful operation.
Cover for Tactics Put Out Fires

Today’s fireground demands decisive water application tailored to staffing, arrival timing, and building layout. Grounded in UL research and field-proven tactics, this class reinforces the life-saving priority of stretching and operating the first and second lines—regardless of crew size or conditions. Attendees will explore adaptive strategies like fast water, coordinated ventilation, and survivability-focused decision-making to control fires rapidly and buy critical time for rescue. Whether urban or rural, learn how to maximize impact with the resources at hand while strengthening tactical fundamentals that consistently save lives and conserve property.
