The Who’s Who will be teaching this one of a Kind Back To The Basics program. This will be the same week so attendees can enjoy the larger crowd for nightly activities.

We are excited to announce that we will offer Back to The Basics with the Legends next December 3-7, 2018 on Pensacola Beach. This will be during the annual High Rise Conference but will be it’s on Conference/Track within a conference. Back in the 90s there was a huge push for Back to the Basics and it was a huge benefit to me and was one of the things that got me to attend FDIC when it moved to Indy for the first time. I attended a forcible entry lecture in the early 90s given by Captain Bill Gustin on thru the lock and conventional forcible entry. It was this lecture that really woke me up that the Firefighter I & FIRE ACADEMY had really not prepared me for the real Fireground. I had been taught that if you encountered a steel door in a steel frame to find another way in and that Entering house through a window was just to DANGEROUS. It was the mid 90s that I realized that a lot of what I had been taught by the SUBURBAN INSTRUCTOR was just theory and really had not been tested on the Fireground and some things they thought were dangerous were actually safer than other methods being taught. This was a huge change of direction in my career and me seeking out Urban Firefighters that were truly doing fire duty and testing daily on the real foreground what would and would not work.  I was done with theory taught fire tactics. I wanted Fireground Tested Tactics that worked over a period of time. So County Fire Tactics will bring the LEGENDS of YESTERDAY and Today for this Back to the Basics Conference that will enhance any firefighters tactical ability. Don’t Miss Out on Real World Hands on Training. All attendees will get taught by seasoned Urban Firefighters that have actually done what they are teaching. Lectures will also be taught by seasoned Firefighters that have extensive Fireground Experience. I am more excited about this than anything CFT has done to date. This is not a knock on the Jonny Come Lately, but is an opportunity for them to come enhance their knowledge for tomorrows passing it forward. Today’s Johnny Come Lately will hopefully be tomorrows Legends. Learn from them before they are gone.
