Last Day for Spouse Registration “COBC”

Day 1 in the morning will be Leadership for Couples & Relationships in the Fire Service by Mike & Anne Gagliano.

Day 2 wil be breakfast on the water for Spouses/Couples in the Fire Service.

All spouses that are registered will get full attendance to all socials, to pick what speakers they want yo hear and free beach chairs. Also an  opportunity to ride paddleboatds. Discounts on Food & Drinks with wristband.

Transitional Attack-Not Always!

Chief Mike Terpak will teach Transitional Attack-Not Always program after lunch on Day 1 of COBC 2017

TRANSITIONAL ATTACK – NOT ALWAYS! This 3 hour program reviews the NIST and UL information regarding TRANSITIONAL FIRE ATTACK and presents information that you NEED to KNOW before you “hit it hard from the yard.” Don’t miss this information!

Course Competencies: In a manner deemed appropriate by the instructor, students will be able to:

* Identify what is being said and why.
* Review the NIST/UL information.
* Identify the positive and negative aspects of the information.
* Identify the common sense approach.
* Understand how to merge “science based” with “experience based” information.
* Identify when used and when not used.
* Provide additional methods to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and safety of your of your fire ground operations.

This three-day program runs simultaneously with the Command Officer Boot Camp. All CFT Fire School attendees will be invited to all nightly socials that are a part of COBC 2017.

This 3-day training will consist of 1 day of lecture followed by 2 days of hands-on. The training will cover anything from the single-story ranch houses to multifamily dwellings. The lecture will cover how to determine Strategy based on your tactical ability. The hands-on component will cover Engine and Truck Company Operations to include the First Alarm Assignment for most Structural Fires. Whether it is a two-person Engine or a Cross manned Truck Company; the basics of tactics must be covered.
