  1. Bleed until full flow and confirmation of hard hitting, long reaching, killer! Too many times I see nozzle firefighters getting in a rush to get inside without confirmation they have a loaded gun with one in the chamber. Make no mistake, you are going in after the enemy and it is on PCP after you open the front door. WATER KILLS!

  2. Firefighters have been seriously injured and even killed, when they entered a burning structure with a charged line that had not been flowed on the exterior, to confirm flow pressure/ hard hitting, long reaching stream that will extinguish fire at hand. This is one function the nozzle position can’t overlook.
